Weigh in 68.6kg! A loss finally! Although this loss did take me by surprise!
I did really well with intake and exercise all week til Friday hit and we had visitors over the weekend and I really splurged!! Wine, cheese, roast pork with crackling!!
Last week I only managed to run around the lake once, my goal again for the week is to do it twice again this week.
I did have a break through this morning though, the baby woke at 6 and wouldn't resettle so I put her in the pram and we hit the pavement, a 5km walk before 730am- pretty impressed with myself!!
The preseason task for yesterday was to make my commitment and say it out loud. So to put it out in cyberspace:
My commitment is to weigh 60kg by Christmas, to fit into my size 10 wedding dress by my 10th wedding anniversary in March, and to run the C2S half marathon in August next year. I commit to doing the work required, to make the changes required and to get rid of the excuses that have held me back.
So onward from here.
I have discovered another excuse for last weeks excuse task- I love to reward myself with food, any excuse!
One Mummy's journey to transform her life. To get healthy and be totally present for her 3 precious peas!

I can't have the cake and eat it too!
69.8kg! 100g weight gain!
This is all about intake as I have definately being better with my energy expenditure this week.
Thankfully, this week I found motivation in my result and I have picked up my game!
I have been for my first run of the week today. I have downloaded runkeeper to my iphone to track my distance and speed etc. I need to sort my HR monitor as my strp has a flat battery at the moment.
We are considering a jump to 2 laps of the lake for our run- scary but hopefully do-able!
My intake is better- I look forward to the 12 WBT task of clearing out the kitchen, at the moment I am just trying to pretend some of the temptations are not there.
Netball tonight- good job that as my run only burnt off 278 calories!

Accomplishment!
Day before weigh in! I feel like I have done better this week!
I have done reasonably well with my preseason tasks this week. I was able to accomplish my exercise goal of running around the lake non-stop twice this week! Firstly I went with my friend and her kids and we took turns running the 3.5km whilst the other looked after all the kids in the playground! And second my gorgeous hubby sent me on my way yesterday morning whilst he looked after the kids and I achieved again!
I've had a bit of a revelation this week with mu running. I normally run with no music but I did this week and I feel it really helped- mostly because I couldn't hear how heavy I was breathing!!!
So I am really happy with that accomplishment!
My nutrition goal was to make water my drink of choice. I have done better than usual with this one, only having a cooldrink on maybe 2 days rather than my normal everyday. I need to do better and am resetting this as my nutrition goal for this week.
I am going to set myself the goal again of twice around the lake without stopping, I need to consolidate before I move on!
This weeks 12WBT preseason task is to set goals, 1 month, 3 month, 6 month and 12 month SMART goals. I really enjoyed this task and took a lot of time to think about it. I believe that I have set really achievable and realistic goals that are going to set me up for success on this journey!

A new method!!
Weigh in- 69.7kg! No loss but also no gain! I have reached the turning point! It's all down from here!
To help me on my way I have enlisted a new team! I have joined Michelle Bridges' 12 Week Body Transformation program!! So far I am in the preseason and have a number of preseason tasks to complete before the season kicks off on September 12.
Michelle asked us to choose just one nutrition and one exercise goal to pursue for the preseason to ease ourselves into it.
I have chosen for nutrition that my goal is to make water my drink of choice and for exercise to keep pursuing the running goals that I have set myself.
Today I was back down the lake, with my girlfriend and her 3 kids, and I did another lap without stopping! 3.5km! I am so proud of myself!!! Today I ran to music which I found really beneficial I think mostly because I couldn't hear how heavy I was breathing!!! Now I just need to fit in another lap before Sunday and I will again have reached my goal!!
On another note, I have also started reading a book by Rhonda Byrne called The Power. I am finding the direction on positive thought and harnessing love really helpful!

Goal Accomplished!
I accomplished my first goal!!! I ran around the lake without stopping!! Well, run might be an overstatement but it was at least a quick shuffle!!
My new goal is to run around the lake twice in the next week.
Nervous about weigh in tommorow! ....

Week 1- Not so good!!
The delay in putting this post up is no mistake! Weigh in Week 1 69.7kg. Half a kg gain!!!
I have fallen off the horse and am hopping back on!
No good excuses- just the normal day to day stresses of being a Mummy, Wife, person in general and of course my killer sweet tooth!
I have decided that I need to have some other goals other than pure weight loss. This is, of course, ment to be more about living my best life by being as healthy as possible, which does include weight loss.
My first goal is to be able to run around the local lake without stopping. I want to include this as part of a much wider goal but I need to be realistic so need to think aout what it is I want to accomplish!

Getting there!
Much better day today! I played my game of netball last night- to the best of my ability but not too fantastic! I definately shouldn't be huffing and puffing as much as I do but in weeks to come I hope that improves!
Today my intake has been good and now sitting here after lunch I am trying not to fall into my old habits of grazing. 2 precious peas in bed and 1 at school gives me some down time but I need to avoid 'boredom' triggering me to eat.
The school pick up will be done on foot to give me that 30 mins of activity for the day- this is what I cuurently struggle most with- finding time in my 'busy' day to fit in time for exercise, time for myself to keep myself healthy. I know that I need to take the time to do this so my kids have a healthier and happier Mummy but some days it honestly feels impossible! The weather lately hasn't helped my cause but I need to stop the excuse making and get more proactive.

A rocky start!
69.2 kg! That is the starting point.
My healthy weight range for my height is between 55 and 69kg. 15kg would put me just under 55kg. A big target but I need to aim for the lower end of the healthy weight range. I need to be as healthy as possible for my children.
My first day of the 'new me' was yesterday and dietary wise I did OK until the precious peas were in bed and I let loose with toast and vegemite and chocolate icecream! Today I was good until they were all down for their afternoon rests and I raided the fridge for my eldests last Easter Egg! So desperate and so sad!!!!
Boredom? Stress? I don't know my triggering factor for eating but I need to sort it out! I had had a healthy evening meal and a healthy lunch today and then still felt the need to gorge on something sweet!
Now I've blogged I feel remotivated- I have a netball game tonight and will get my intake back on track right now!

The Last Supper!
My journey for total health starts now! I have just finished my final gorge! All my favourites! Chorizo, Brie cheese, chocolate and chocolate icecream!
The idea should really be you decide to go down this path of health you should start immediately, but 1 more night can't do too much damage can it??
From tomorrow I plan to keep myself accountable by documenting my journey on this blog.
Weigh in 7am- fingers crossed my goal won't be any more than 15kg!
Now- to Milo or not to Milo???
